Bio

Dr. Stan Baker is a fifth generation Oklahoman, grew up in Tulsa and is a fourth generation OU Sooner. After graduating from the University of Oklahoma, College of Medicine, he completed a six year residency in Otorhinolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at the University of California – Davis and then served a one year clinical fellowship in Otology and Neurotology at the Hugh Ear Institute with Drs. Hough and McGee. Soon after, he joined them in practice at the Otological Medical Clinic.

In his Clinic, Dr. Baker enjoys seeing both children and adults with a full range of ear, hearing and balance disorders. For over twenty years he has had a special interest in the medical and surgical management of hearing loss, has performed over 1,400 cochlear implant surgeries and has been a co-investigator for several FDA clinical trials during the development of implantable hearing devices. Most recently he served as the principle investigator for the Hearts for Hearing contribution to the successful Nucleus Hybrid L24 Cochlear Implant project. Dr. Baker was a co-founder of Hearts for Hearing and values and interdisciplinary team approach and family centered care featured at hearts for Hearing. Dr. Baker is a past president of the Oklahoma Academy of Otolaryngology, served seven years as the Ear, Nose and Throat Department Chairman at the INTEGRIS Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City and is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology. He is a member of The American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. He was appointed a Fellow in the distinguished American Neurotology Society in 1996. Dr. Baker and his wife, Jeni, are avid runners and cyclists and enjoy all outdoor activities. She is an audiologist and has worked at the Otology Medical Clinic since 1999. Together they share a passion for helping others in the community by serving on several boards.
