Transparent, All-Inclusive Pricing for Cochlear Implants
Facing hearing loss is stressful enough. Uncertainty about medical costs shouldn’t make things harder. At Surgery Center of Oklahoma, you get transparent, bundled pricing, published right at the top of the page and always available on our main pricing page. No hidden fees. No surprise bills.
Your all-in-one price includes essential services: the surgeon, operating suite, anesthesia, and routine follow-up visits, but does not include the cochlear implant device. However, unlike big hospitals, the cochlear implant is sold to you at cost without markup. Some items aren’t part of the standard bundle, like your initial consultation or recommended hearing tests.

What Are These Procedures?
A cochlear implant helps when hearing aids are no longer enough. This treatment is designed for people with advanced hearing loss—sometimes in one ear, sometimes both. The surgery is typically straightforward: a skilled ENT makes a small incision behind the ear, places a tiny receiver, and threads the electrode into your inner ear. Most patients can go home later that day.
After a healing period (about two to four weeks), you’ll return, and your outside processor will be programmed and activated. It’s a big step. Many describe the return of sounds—music, voices, alarms, birds—as life-changing.
Who Is It For?
If you or your child struggles with hearing, even with hearing aids, this outpatient procedure may help. Age isn’t a barrier; we’ve cared for patients in their 90s. Many people pay directly, have high-deductible plans, or use self-insurance. When unpredictable hospital bills sound intimidating, our posted bundled rate puts you in control.

Risks & Considerations
As with any surgery, there are some risks. Effects like temporary facial weakness or odd tastes can happen because some nerves are near the area being treated. Most side effects are rare and usually go away on their own. Infections are uncommon here, but like all surgeries, they can occur. Dizziness, fluid leaks, or device concerns also rarely develop. Now and then, a revision procedure is needed. Very serious issues, like meningitis, are quite rare here. Our infection record is well below the national average.
