Hello, Dr. Keith Smith with you here on behalf of the Surgery Center of Oklahoma. Thank you for joining me.

Many years ago, a friend of mine the advertising business suggested that I buy the Surgery Center of Oklahoma an award. I laughed when he said this, because I had suspected for some time that many of the awards you see presented to large healthcare institutions are, in fact, purchased by those very healthcare institutions.

I’m proud to say that we have never bought ourselves an award. I didn’t take his advice and I have no intention of doing so. I am proud to say, in all seriousness, that we are the recipient of an award.

Michelle Malkin Investigates, sent us their Bulldog Award. You can see this is a very handsome, bronze bulldog. We are very proud to have received this award! It was very unsuspected.

We would also like to thank Michelle Malkin for the kind note that accompanied this award, which thanked us for being a trendsetter in this new, price-transparent medical industry. This is a wonderful gift and addition to my office, I’m displaying it proudly and I wanted you all to see it as well.
