Lies You Believe (Part 5)

Lies You Believe (Part 5)

This is a lie for those of you who are employers who are self-funded and have your own health plan. Let’s say there are two administrators competing for your business.

One tells you they’re going to charge you $15 per employee per month. The other tells you they’re going to charge you $5 per employee per month. This decision is a no-brainer, isn’t it? You’re going to go with the one that’s going to charge you $5 – not $15.

Think about it this way, though: you decide you need two companies to come in for an interview to clean your home. One says they’ll clean your home for $100 a week. The other says they’ll clean your home for $20 a week. Again, a no-brainer decision, right?

What the folks who are charging $20 have not told you is that they are going to steal many things out of your house. None of this, of course, being disclosed to you.

And it will, after all, cost you much more than $100 a week. Many of you employers are looking at two administrators – one who is lying to you telling you they are going to charge you a false low amount, and what you do not know is all of the ways they are going to steal from you. And ultimately, you’re paying much more than the $15 per employee per month.

My friend, Jay Kempton, is going to elaborate on this. But know that you’re being lied to many times in this situation. Thanks for joining me.
