Hello, Dr. Keith Smith here on behalf of the Surgery Center of Oklahoma, thank you for joining me.
We have come to the end of the “Lies you believe” series. I have unlearned, as Joe Sobran used to say, many things during the production of this series. I have had to rethink many things, and I have had to face deceptions that I thought otherwise were truths as I prepared for and presented these blogs to you.
I hope many of you have enjoyed this and I also hope I have presented it in a way that you have, in a comfortable way, been able to face the possibility that you too have been deceived and it has not sparked anger in you, but a desire to seek your own knowledge and research to find out if I’m right or wrong and to find your own truth.
I’ve thought many times during the presentation of this material of the scene in “V for Vendetta” where the police inspector looks at his young protégé and asks him a simple question in reference to the possibility that the tyrant, portrayed in the film, had deceived the entire country and the world, the inspector asked the protégé, “Would you want to know?”
If indeed the tyrant’s deception were reality would he want to know the truth? I’ve thought about that many times, and I thought that I would pass that along as we end this series. A series which, once again, I’ve enjoyed producing and I hope you all have enjoyed watching.
Thank you so much for your support, we will see you next time.
