Check out this website.  Another highlight of the Association of American Surgeon’s annual meeting was meeting Dr. Kathy Brown and her husband Jack.  There are so many lessons to be learned from these two that I don’t really know where to begin.  Suffice it to say that they took a miserable situation (her government-controlled medical practice) and turned it into a free market cash practice, a move that has resulted in two of the most delightful and content people I’ve ever met.  

Her prices are a fraction of what they were.  Her prices are posted in her waiting room!  Pathologists read her specimens for a fraction of what they would normally charge a private insurer.  Her patients love her.  She spends time with them rather than with their insurance company’s paperwork.  

What an honor to have met this couple.  Their story was an inspiration to everyone who heard it, me especially.
