The Unavailable Care Act

The Unavailable Care Act

Hello. Dr. Keith Smith with you – Surgery Center of Oklahoma. Thank you for joining me.

I like to give credit where it’s due, unlike those who have copied our website and made no mention of the Surgery Center of Oklahoma.

The credit due is Dr. John Hay of Mississippi who, instead of calling Obamacare the Unaffordable Care act as I have called it, is referring to it as the Unavailable Care Act.

For the layman, this is a much more powerful image because if care is unavailable, it really doesn’t matter what it costs. Of course, Obamacare renders care unavailable and unaffordable, but I like Dr. Hay’s description of this law and his label of this law much better.

Indeed, people are finding that their deductibles are very high, which makes the availability of care to them, due to their own financial constraints, difficult. They’re also finding that many physicians and hospitals are simply not participating in these Obamacare exchange plans.

As more and more insurers and giant insurance corporations begin to refuse to participate in these exchanges, the Unavailable Care Act is going to be seen more and more as Dr. John Hay has described it.

Thank you for joining me. We will see you next time.
