This past week, we operated on a man from Lima, Peru who desired a cochlear implantation. He was a great candidate for this and he came to our facility because of our pricing.

I thought it was interesting and worth noting that he did not go to the not-for-profit hospitals that perform this procedure. He didn’t go to a facility that was not owned by the doctors who worked there. He came to the place where the pricing was fair and the quality was high.

I think about this a lot as patients that either don’t have insurance or have high deductibles come to our facility. They seek us out. We are their refuge. We are the place where they can actually acquire care that is affordable – not the “not-for-profit” facilities that charge multiples of what we charge.

So here is this man from Lima, Peru who did not go to the not-for-profit facility. He went to the facility where the greedy doctors who own it operate. And we made him a deal that was unbeatable. In fact, he saved so much money, in all likelihood, he will return to have his other side done.
